Health Professional Training

The Health Professional Training System devoted to providing professional and high quality training technical service to the government and medical related organizations. The contents of training include government officials training, health professional techniques training, health professionals and technicists training and international cooperation project trainings and so on. These trainings have effects on the health training sector in China but also abroad.

1.1. Our main works

1)Training for MOH officials

In 2004, MOH decided to implement training to health officials around the country, and assigned HHRDC to take charge of the whole process. According to the professionalization of the health officials, the training includes hospital management, public health management, community health service management and rural health officials training.

Based on the requirement of MOH, the system develops training for hospital deans? of 7 provinces in middle and west regions, senior managers of 3A hospitals around the country, DGs of rural health bureaus and rural hospital deans.

2)Training for health professional examination management and capacity building

Health professional examination has a high requirement for the examination management. In 2005, the training system bore the training of this examination, and since then, implemented training about person-to-computer examination system management and capacity building every year.

3) Health professional techniques training

To strengthen health professional education, promote health talents team establishment, the training system selects good quality training organizations to the society, besides, provides broad internet platform and professional technical support to the training organization.

4) Health Policy Support Project(HPSP) training component

To support China to build a high effective, equitable and quality health system, the MOH of China, DFID and WHO codesigned the HPSP, the project was supported by DFID. The Senior Professional Development Component was managed and implemented by the training system. The objectives of the component was to improve the evidence based pro-poor health policy making, implementing and evaluation capacity of the health policy makers overall. The participants of the training were mainly health officials above division directors in health related government departments.

5) Social cooperation projects

The training system cooperated with many famous medical companies by setting up health talents education fund, providing training requirement diagnoses and curriculum design, and holding short-period special topic training courses for high level participants. Now there are 4 training projects under way, which are maternal and child health talents education, nursing staff capacity establishment, hospital senior manager training, and hospital quality management senior forum and so on.

2. Our service

1) Requirement diagnosis

During the process of whole training project planning and organizing, requirement diagnosis is the first job to be done. We have abundant experience in organizing and implementing training. We can analyze the participants? requirements, provide constructional advice to the organization human resources development planning, and utilize limited resources available.

2) Training design

According to the result of the diagnoses, we will make detailed human resources development plan for organizations, provide development strategy, and help them develop detailed curriculum as well as implementation.

3) Training evaluation

We provide evaluation service before, during and after training. Through this process, we can effectively control and improve the quality of the results. By continuously revise the training methods, we try our best to achieve the goal of the training.

3. Our organization network

1) Government

We are the health training and technical service supporting organization for Ministry of Health, Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security, Ministry of Civil Affairs, Ministry of Finance, National Development and Revolution Committee. Meanwhile we keep very close contact with local health departments and bureaus, rural bureaus and so on.

2) Medical and health companies

We developed many short training courses for AstraZeneca company, Olympus, International Nutrition, Roche-diagnostics and build a well business relationship with these companies.

3) University and college

Build business relationship with more than 20 Universities and colleges, 60 secondary technical vocational schools, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University and so on. For example, we coproduce the rural health bureau training programme and hospital managers capacity building project with Peking University.

4) International organization

We build a good relationship with DFID, WB, Harvard University, WHO, MOH of France. We develop training activities tailored for senior health officials in China, such as the ealth sector reform and sustainable financing flagship course? with WB and senior health executive development project with Harvard University.
